Setting up X terminal (Xming) to CentOS 5 or CentOS 6 server



Step 1) Add line 1 line in the /etc/gdm/custom.conf file.
You must enable XDCMP in the /etc/gdm/custom.conf file add the following lines:
[xdcmp]
Enable = true

Step 2) Comment out the "no-listen=tcp" line within the /etc/X11/fs/config file.

Step 3) Restart the xfs service using the command /etc/init.d/xfs restart

Step 4) start "gdm"

Step 5) When prompted by X to allow addition X servers answer "yes"

Step 6) Configure Xming with XDCMP to IP address single window

Step 7) Check Clipboard

Step 8) Xming options should be "-screen 0 800x600"
